We at PC Pitstop are a different type of company. Since its inception in November 1999, PC Pitstop has operated as a virtual company. We hear of people working from their homes, but as of now, we have not heard of a whole company that works entirely out of their homes. We believe that virtual companies are part of the future of business. For this reason, we are building this web site. Here you will find lots of information about running a virtual company, and also tons of tips of being effective working from your house or in a virtual environment. Enjoy!
So great to see someone talking about running a virtual company! Finding virtual employees thru Monster and “traditional” sources is so hard. People inclined to virtual work often aren’t looking there. And traditional-minded people can have a hard time wrapping their minds around working from home. There needs to be a Monster for virtual hiring (Guru, Virtual Vocations, etc aren’t well targeted to the employee sector). Wondering…what state did you file your incorporation papers, since you can be HQ anywhere, esp in a business friendly/tax friendly state? What platform do you use for tracking performance and timesheets of each employee? Would love to hear more about how you handle the day-to-day technicalities of running a virtual company.
